ingredients for keto cheeseburger casserole with bacon

⭐️ GROUND BEEF – Using 85/15 for best flavour but 90/10 will also work as this dish does have additional added fat from the bacon, cream cheese, and milk. Beef will work best for this recipe to achieve the cheeseburger flavour.

⭐️ BACON – Always check the ingredient labels and try to avoid any bacons with added sugars or starches.

⭐️ ONION AND GARLIC – Substitute for onion powder and garlic powder if you would like.

⭐️ SALT AND BLACK PEPPER – Adjust to taste and tolerance

⭐️ ITALIAN SEASONING – Optional, but brings out the flavour of the beef. A combination of fresh basil, flat leaf parsley, oregano, thyme, sage and/or rosemary could all be great for substituting dried Italian seasoning

⭐️ WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE – Used to enhance the flavour of the beef, which could be substituted for coconut aminos or omitted altogether.

⭐️ SUGAR FREE KETCHUP & MUSTARD – Helps bring out the cheeseburger flavours!

⭐️ CREAM CHEESE – Used for additional richness of the dish, substitute for sour cream or greek yogurt.

⭐️ WHOLE MILK – Substitute for cream or half and half

⭐️ WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE – Substitute for coconut aminos

TIP #1: After the casserole is finished cooking, let it rest for 15 minutes before carving, as time allows, to prevent it from falling apart too easily.

TIP #2: Any seasonings recommended this are optional and can be adjusted to your taste and tolerance. You may add hot sauce if you’d like a spicier version; other spices that would pair well include cumin or chilli powder.

TIP #3: Consider adding keto-friendly toppings to the casserole, such as sliced pickles, bacon bits, or diced tomatoes. These toppings will add extra layers of flavor and texture.
