These keto and carnivore friendly air fryer chicken tenders make a delicious and crispy low-carb meal. You can enjoy them as is or serve them with a keto-friendly dipping sauce.

INGREDIENTS & SUBSTITUTIONS

⭐️ CHICKEN TENDERS – Substitute for any cut of chicken, including breast, or boneless skinless thighs. Simply slice the chicken breast into thin strips or cut them into smaller tender-like shapes to achieve a similar result.

⭐️ EGG – Opt for pasture-raised and grass-fed if it is available to you.

⭐️ PARMESAN CHEESE – Substitute for any hard cheese such as pecorino or grand padano.

⭐️ CARNIVORE CRISPS CHICKEN BREAST FLOUR – Substitute for almond flour or pork rinds on a 1:1 basis.

⭐️ SEASONINGS – I am using salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic/onion powder. Any seasonings are to taste and are optional.

TIPS AND TRICK FOR SUCCESS

TIP #1: Dry the chicken tenders thoroughly with paper towel before dipping into the egg batter. Doing so will ensure that as much moisture is removed from the chicken as possible.

TIP #2: The air fryer does an excellent job of creating a crispy exterior. To enhance the crispiness, make sure the chicken tenders are coated thoroughly with the dry mixture, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.

👉 CAN I MAKE THIS IN ADVANCE?

The chicken tenders are best served fresh. However, you can freeze the coated chicken tenders in a single layer on a baking sheet. Once frozen, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container. When you’re ready to cook, preheat the air fryer and cook the frozen chicken tenders for a slightly longer time, adding a few extra minutes to ensure they are cooked through.

Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken tender
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp chicken breast flour (Carnivore Crisps) substitute for almond flour or pork rinds

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, beat egg with a fork for 30 seconds.
  • in a medium sized bowl, combine parmesan cheese and Carnivore Crisps' chicken breast flour. You may substitute the chicken breast flour for almond flour or pork rinds (1:1 basis).
  • Dip each chicken tender into the beaten egg, then into the flour mixture.
  • Air fry for 20 minutes at 400F, flipping half way to ensure that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165F.
